Monster Metabolism
We were supposed to make a burger introducing a new tool, the mesh blender. Instead of just blending colors from one spot to the next you can push it in a direction, and it layers overtop the base color instead of replacing it. I also used the "sprinkles" tool(I forget what it's called) for the sesame seeds. Looking at it now, I think the patties are too dark but hey, someone out there likes it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Making the burger into a little mischievous character guy was fun I enjoyed that. I didn't make him interact with the shake because the shake costs a runaway Mr. BURGER, so he's out runnin' while the shake is being made.

A Confused Dance Through a Labyrinth of Wires and Bolts
This story continues on the story of the alien scientist and robot from the previous assignment. The alien scientist's planet is destroyed so he escapes to Earth where he finds a train engineer who takes the alien scientist under his wing. They start building a robot together and while the alien scientist is out completing a task assigned by the mechanic, the mechanic dies. He always carried around stones, and the alien scientist used those as the heart of the robot. He also took the mechanics hat and now wears it all the time.

Design Matrix Challenge
This assignment was to learn the different design elements and principles and how they combine together. Emphasis and rhythm were my favorite principles to do, especially the texture emphasis. The hardest part was alienating one element and not combining them and if I were going to change it I'd fix the line-balance and texture-proportion boxes.

"Created"
Backstory:[A genius robotics scientist(slide 1) and his creation(slide 2). The scientist, barely an adolescent, had to escape his destroyed home planet to an earlier version of it, Earth. He was the only survivor that anyone knows of and he decides to build a robot to prevent his planets total destruction. His memory isn't to great though so he doesn't remember what happened, therefore he builds a robot powerful enough to do whatever it wants. (It was programmed with good morals and most life on Earth is dead anyway because of the recent AI apocalypse). Sadly, the scientist disappears, possibly dead, before the robot is even close to being completed, so he's existing at 20% of what he could be. If this was an animated show, eventually he'd complete himself and stop what destroyed the scientist's planet, but in doing so he destroys all universes. Remember how I said he was supposed to be made strong enough to do whatever he wants? Well that's still true, universe obliteration didn't destroy him so he's existing in nothing.]
Other:[The scientist lost his left leg, so he never planned on giving the robot his left arm, and they both have the same scar on their left shoulder. The scientist met the last human on Earth, a train conductor/repairer, and worked with him on the robot for a bit. The conductor gave the scientist his hat and repaired his leg with a coupling rod] |

Wizzorse and Rabbit, ft. Top Hat
In this magical performance of a wizard horse and a rabbit in a hat I crystallized my knowledge of layer masks. Layer masks are a non destructive way of erasing parts of an image you don’t want. For everything here I told Photoshop to select the subject and then when I put the layer mask on it kept the subject and hid everything else. It wasn’t perfect so I did have to go back and touch it up a little bit. I drew the moon because the top felt a little empty and I wanted to start getting more used to using different tools(brush, selection, eraser, colors, filters, etc.) and seeing what results they give me and how to use the tools in different ways.

Ghostly Skate Duck
I learned how to change the layer opacities and use vignette. I used 3 different pictures for this and I had to merge the skateboard and duck before I could make them into a vignette. It took a little bit to find where the feather option is and once I did that I messed around with how many pixels I wanted it to be. Most of these settings and techniques I already knew existed from my previous experience using other digital art apps, mainly Procreate, and it's cool to see how that knowledge transferred and worked in this program.

4 Corners Lit and Cameras
This assignment taught me how to use the lights and cameras in 3ds max. I wish I had done this assignment first because it's so fun and if I had known how to use them, I would've used them in every assignment we've done probably. It adds so much drama and character to the piece. It took me a while to figure out how to use them but now that I know how to I'm really excited to use them in the future on my own projects.

Animated 4 Corners
This project brought back the animation aspect of 3ds Max and merging files. I learned how to link objects, which I've used since then in some other projects. I also learned how to change the animation settings to make it look how I want I want. |

Four Corners
In this exercise I learned how to create an object with the exact parameters I wanted, instead of creating the object and then putting in the parameters. To do this you go to create the object and then type in the parameters before you create it. Also putting in the exact coordinates to put the object. It was a pretty easy assignment so it didn't take too long to do or figure out.

Goblet, Nut & Bolt, and Pawn
This lesson was to learn about modifiers and compound objects. My favorite part was making the cup since I had a lot of room to design it how I wanted to using current skills of making basic forms, and learned skills of using splines and modifiers. It was pretty easy to figure out, I think the hardest part will be remembering where all of it is. This will definitely help with future modeling because it allows for so much manipulation of the object. The only thing that would make the lesson better is adding some instructions on how to get an image on the software since the video didn't talk about that.
