There were a lot of different parts to this assignment, and I learned a lot from it. Changing the sound volumes were tedious, but I think it payed off. Captions were difficult because to put the right words down, I had to know what the right words were. Needless to say, I re-watched that thing about a million times to know what they said. Animating the text was fun, It's been enjoyable in all the projects and I always look forward to it. As for the music and other sound things, I layered some different parts of the music at the end to make a clear ending. The sound effects(cheering and start beeps) I found off of pixelbay, and the announcer just came with a clip so all I had to do was unlink it and leave it there.

Everyone used the same clips for this project but edited them differently, which is an exercise I really like for artistic things. I decided to make mine a little spooky, so the door is the mouth of a monster house. I experimented with effects, animation, speed, and the arrangement of the clips. I used a filter for one of the clips but I forgot which one I used, so I didn't use it on the other ones😅. Below is a screenshot of the tracks, the 1st sound track is muted because it's the sound that came with the clips I used.

I asked my friend what theme I should use and they said mountain goats, so that's what I did. I learned a whole bunch of things during this like, adding audio, taking out pieces(of audio and video) from the middle, using the markers, and getting more experience with different tracts and effects. I cut a huge 2 minute long middle piece out of the audio because I wanted the end of the video to be the end of the song. It took a little trial and error to make it blend smoothly and not sound like a cut, but I like how it turned out.
This quarter was focused mainly on Adobe Illustrator, although the beginning of the quarter was connecting 3ds Max and Photoshop. We used photoshop to paint the smt of models and then place them back on the model. Then we moved on to Adobe Illustrator. Adobe Illustrator is a vector based software, which means it doesn't use pixels. This allows the art to be scaled to any size without the loss of quality. We've made lots of things during this quarter(my favorites are on the student showcase page), and I can see how it would be very useful for projects spanning from a character layout to a graphic design poster to promote a business. Using Illustrator was a little more difficult for me than the other programs mainly because things are more exact. In my personal projects, I break down the steps I'm going to take to make a final form differently than what is useful in Illustrator. Once I got the hang of it though it was really enjoyable and I learned a lot of new skills. :)
