This quarter was focused mainly on Adobe Illustrator, although the beginning of the quarter was connecting 3ds Max and Photoshop. We used photoshop to paint the smt of models and then place them back on the model. Then we moved on to Adobe Illustrator. Adobe Illustrator is a vector based software, which means it doesn't use pixels. This allows the art to be scaled to any size without the loss of quality. We've made lots of things during this quarter(my favorites are on the student showcase page), and I can see how it would be very useful for projects spanning from a character layout to a graphic design poster to promote a business. Using Illustrator was a little more difficult for me than the other programs mainly because things are more exact. In my personal projects, I break down the steps I'm going to take to make a final form differently than what is useful in Illustrator. Once I got the hang of it though it was really enjoyable and I learned a lot of new skills. :)
